James Byrne

I'm James Byrne, founder and principal of Glenville Mining.

I have recruited exclusively within the mining industry since 2011, concentrating throughout on operations and project leadership, exploration, and the senior technical disciplines alongside them. That work has taken me from London to Australia, China and West Africa, and put me alongside explorers, operators of every size, consultancies and private equity houses. Over that time I have built a network of more than eight thousand mining professionals, and helped a good number of them into the roles that shaped their careers.

I built Glenville Mining on a simple conviction: in mining, everything depends on people. The right leader delivers a project; the wrong one costs a client far more than any search ever will. That is why I work on retained terms and take on only a small number of searches at a time. Each one has my full attention, from the first conversation to well after the start date.
